Ayurveda Specialist & Kundalini Yoga Teacher at Moksha Ayurveda Mallorca
1. David, how did Ayurveda find you?
Clearly: through fate. At the beginning of 2014, my path led me to Madeira to the Ashoka Ayurveda Center – and looking back, that was a turning point in my life. It was not only the beginning of my personal healing journey but also the start of my deep interest in Ayurveda as a way of life and medicine.
2. How do you integrate Ayurveda into your daily life?
Right after waking up, I stretch my back and do some simple exercises to get my digestion going. Then I drink warm water.
Nutrition plays a central role for me – over the years it has sharpened my awareness significantly. Even today, after many years of Ayurvedic eating, I immediately notice when I deviate from my routine. Ayurveda has helped me understand my body better and to deal more mindfully with changes.
3. What do you recommend to people who want to do an Ayurveda cure?
Patience. Many wish for quick changes – but true healing happens in layers. Some things change quickly, others need more time, especially when it comes to deeper tissue layers (Dhatus) or mental patterns. The mind plays a big role here – and it also heals in its own rhythm.
4. Your personal Ayurveda lifehack?
Spices! I make sure to always use a good mix in my meals – they are the heart of every Ayurvedic kitchen. And in the evening, I take Triphala – it has a balancing and cleansing effect and gives me a restful sleep.
5. How can people successfully integrate Ayurveda into their daily life after a cure?
Through regularity. The power of change lies in repetition. It’s not about implementing everything at once, but about establishing new routines step by step – and lovingly maintaining them. Consistency ultimately brings more than perfection.
